Domaine de Scamandre, Gard, France

At the Domaine Viticole Renouard Scamandre, in Vauvert in the Gard, the first agroforestry tree plantations date back to 2007 with 240 trees. They continued in 2012 with hedges. In 2023, 250 trees were planted again, making it possible to exceed the number of 2000 trees planted on the plots. The target is 3500 trees by 2025. The owners were looking for and observed an improvement in animal and plant biodiversity. They also find it aesthetically interesting and thus prevent the effects of global warming on their crops.
